How are they packed in the winter when it is cold?

When the temperatures drop we switch over to cricket boxes that do not have vents. These boxes do a great job holding body heat from the crickets in the box, keeping them toasty during their winter travels. They also eliminate potentiworldnet027y fatal drafts!

The boxes are not airtight, and crickets can still breathe in the box. As oxygen levels decline, the crickets slow down their metabolism and movement. This state worldnet027ows them to survive shipping. We’ve had them last over 2 weeks this way!

When choosing the size of your feeder insects, we recommend choosing insects equal to or less than the distance between your animals eyes. If you choose insects larger than that measurement, the animals can have difficulties consuming or digesting the feeders.
